NICE has an extensive library specialising in the areas of philosophy, education and educational philosophy with in-depth coverage of these topics from a biblical, reformational perspective in a contemporary context.
Resource Centre Services
Accessing Resources
- The NICE Resource Centre is open to the public during normal working hours.
- The library catalogue can be accessed remotely via the link to the right and through NICEOnline.
- NICE students can access online the full text of over 400 educational journals is available through ProQuest. For access details contact theNICE librarian.
Borrowing Resources
NICE students and staff residing within Australia are able to borrow up to six resources for four weeks with the option to renew the loan period if the resource is not required by other users.
The Resource Centre will mail the resources to the borrower at no cost with the borrower being responsible to pay for the return of the resources. A fine of $1.00 per day applies for overdue resources. Resources that are more than 60 days overdue will be classed as lost. There is a minimum charge of $100.00 for lost resources .
Document Delivery
Resource Centre borrowers have access to limited document delivery service on a user pays basis. Contact theNICE librarianfor more details.
Reciprocal Borrowing
NICE Resource Centre has reciprocal borrowing arrangements with Morling College library. Victorian students may register with CAVAL (Cooperative Action by Victorian Libraries) through the National Institute, which provides reciprocal borrowing at participating Victorian tertiary libraries.
