Leonie King
Leonie joined the NICE team in 2006 as the Finance Officer. Leonie is responsible for a variety of activities such as the processing of purchase order and invoicing, receipts and banking, reconciling and maintaining the NICE accounts and most importantly the staff pays. She is always helpful and supportive of all the NICE staff.
Leonie has been actively involved in the same church for the past 30 years, serving as a deacon and treasurer. She lives with her husband & cat and has a son, daughter, son-in-law and grandson. When Leonie is not busy tending to and enjoying the company of her family she likes to knit, cross stitch and do clueless crosswords. Travel is another passion but time, money and a very full life does not always allow for this.
Kerrie Macready
Kerrie joined the NICE team in 2006. Whilst enjoying the challenge of continuing to learn new things everyday, Kerrie has successfully assumed responsibility for the myriad of administrative tasks relating to student records and unit material preparation. As receptionist she is often the first point of contact for NICE students.
Kerrie loves being apart of her church family, enjoys pottering in her garden at the weekends, is an avid reader, loves the challenge of puzzles especially jigsaws, played many sports in her younger days but just watches them on TV these days. She is passionate about the South Coast and spends all her holidays there. Occasionally she spends time on the weekend looking after her two nephews to give their mum and dad a break.
Kaye Martin
Kaye has seen many changes since she began working with the NICE in 1991 soon after it began. During that time she has joyfully helped with many tasks. Currently she helps with preparation of student mailouts, photocopying, data entry and filing. In addition, Kaye helps with multiple library tasks including end processing, filing and circulation.
Kaye and her husband worked for many years as volunteers at Tyndale Christian School where their children attended. They enjoy the friendships that have developed through their involvement in the Christian school movement.
Suzanne Mitchell
BA, DipEd (UNE), MA (Public History) (UTS)
Suzanne began her academic career as a mature age student studying for the HSC at Wycliffe Christian School and then gained her degree, with a double major in history, and DipEd whilst also being a board member at Wycliffe and a member of the education sub committee. She taught history, English and world studies for a few years before becoming editor of Nurture in 1993 and managing editor of the Christian Teachers Journal in 1999. Since qualifying for a masters degree in public history she has worked as a consultant historian predominantly in heritage work but also in research for local history groups.
She has facilitated workshops at many CPCS conferences on teaching various aspects of Australian history and conducted school in-service seminars on teaching Christian approaches to Aboriginal history. Suzanne's visits to many schools around Australia enable her to be informed as to what is happening in Christian schools and thus ensure that the journals are relevant and accessible to all teachers.
