Narelle Sketcher bio



Ms Narelle Sketcher
BA, MEdSt, MCEPA

Narelle has been teaching at Donvale Christian College since 2007, mainly teaching in the areas of history and religious studies to senior students. She is presently the Head of the Year 9 Campus at DCC and Induction Co-Ordinator for the whole school. Narelle is also a sessional lecturer with the National Institute of Christian Education. It was through the Institute that she completed her Masters in 2005. Prior to working at DCC, Narelle taught for 13 years in the Senior School at Mt. Evelyn Christian School.

Narelle has also been on the editorial committee of The Christian Teachers’ Journal for a number of years and frequently works with Christian Education National in organising Professional Development events for staff and leadership training for students. She also serves on the Board of a children’s charity, Cottage By the Sea, which provides respite holidays and support for children from disadvantaged families.

Narelle enjoys reading, watching and participating in sport with her family and scrapbooking!! She is slightly obsessed with the TV series, ‘West Wing’. She is the mother of an 11 year old daughter and 14 year old son. She is part of a worshipping community at Box Hill Salvation Army in Victoria.
