Ken Dickens bio



Mr Ken Dickens
DipT, Cert Theol, MEdSt, PhD(cand), MCEPA, MACEL

Ken was appointed CEO of Christian Education National in June 2009. Prior to that, Ken was the Principal for 6 months and Senior Lecturer for 7 years with the National Institute for Christian Education. He will continue to have oversight of the Institute.

Ken taught for 30 years, fifteen with NSW Department of School Education, twelve as Principal of Heritage Christian School, Port Macquarie and three as Head of Prospect Campus of Tyndale Christian School. Ken has taught primary through to senior secondary.

Ken’s key professional interests include the philosophical and theological basis for Christian schools and leadership.  His PhD research concerns theology, worldview and vision for schooling.  He is a regular writer for Nurture and Christian Teachers Journal and co-editor of “Pointing the Way”. Ken often speaks at conferences and is a regular preacher at his local church.

Ken and his wife Jennie, live in the Blue Mountains.  They have four adult children and three grandchildren.
